Minnesota aeromagnetic data minus various local tribal nations. The areomagnetic data were originally acquired during a 1979-1991 aeromagnetic survey. They were compiled and processed using the more limited computing and data storage capabilities that were available at that time. Since then, significant improvements have been made to computers and software that massive database operations, such as line leveling and gridding can now be efficiently handled with desktop systems. Thus the MGS decided to upgrade the existing aeromagnetic database using these newer capabilities. This is the upgraded version of the dataset. To download raster data, please visit the Minnesota Geological Survey open data portal and down load the geodatabase at Aeromagnetic Database. Please contact the Minnesota Geologic Survey for further information. |
